The main purpose
Method A is used to determine the damaged area and length of textiles and other materials when they burn at 45°. Method B is used to determine the number of times that textiles are exposed to flame when they are heated to a specified length at 45°.
Technical index
Continuous burning time range: 0~99.99s; resolution: 0.01s
Smoldering timing range: 0-99.99s; resolution: 0.01s the distance between the tip of the igniter and the sample
Ignition time: Method A: thin fabric 30s; thick fabric 120s Method B: manual
Igniter caliber: A method: thin fabric Φ6.4mm; thick fabric Φ20mm B method: Φ6.4mm
Specimen holder size: Method A: outline 500mm×230mm; inner frame 250mm×150mm
Method B: coil inner diameter Φ10mm; pitch 2mm; total length 150mm
Distance between the tip of the igniter and the sample: Method A: 45mm for thin fabric; Method B: 45mm for thick fabric
0~99.99s; resolution: 0.01s
