LFY-604 Fabric Vertical Flame Spread Performance Tester

The main purpose
It is suitable for the determination of the vertical flame spread performance of single-component or multi-component (coating, quilting, multilayer, sandwich products and similar combinations) of clothing, curtains and valances and large tents, including pergola and door covers. Used to evaluate the performance of materials or material combinations under laboratory control conditions after exposure to flame.
Instrument characteristics
1. Use low-voltage electric heating wire ignition device to ensure safe and reliable ignition;
2. The ignition gas control adopts a special solenoid valve for combustible gas, which has the characteristics of anti-corrosion and explosion-proof;
3. There is a gas leak alarm in the control box and automatically cut off the gas source;
4. The burner can be automatically positioned through the switch to select "surface ignition" or "edge ignition" ignition mode.
5. The burner ignition time can be set arbitrarily from 0.01 to 99.99 seconds;
6. Automatically record the time from the start of ignition to the burning of the first, second, and third marking lines (ie flame spread time), as well as the continuous burning time and the smoldering time;
7. There are 1st, 2nd and 3rd marking line status indicator lights. The marking line status adopts non-contact sensor, which is reliable in judgment and quick response;
8. There is a lighting lamp in the combustion box to facilitate observation during the test;
9. The flame height can be adjusted through the adjustment knob on the control panel.
10. The combustion box adopts a front and side double door structure, which is convenient to observe the combustion state from different angles during the test.

1. The burner is ignited in two ways, 30° and horizontal (ie "edge ignition" or "surface ignition").
2. The mobile motor power of the burner: 20W.
3. Gas igniter: The igniter meets the requirements of ISO 6941: 2003 Appendix A and GB/T 5456-2009 Appendix A. The igniter can be moved from the ready position to the horizontal or inclined position. In the preparation position, the tip of the igniter should be at least 75mm away from the sample.
4. Ignition timer: set from 0.01 to 99.99 seconds (the national standard adopts 5 seconds or 15 seconds).
5. Flame spread time, continuous burning time and smoldering time timer: 0.01~99.99s or 1s~99min99s, the range can be set according to the length of time.
6. Flame height measuring device: the height of the scale is 40mm.
7. Support frame: It should be able to maintain the specified relative position between the igniter and the sample frame; the instrument can be equipped with three marking lines at the specified position. Install a ring at the position of each marking line so that its two sides are 1mm and 5mm away from the front surface of the pattern. A timing device is installed at each ring.
8. Sample holder: 560mm×150mm. It consists of a rectangular metal frame, and 12 sample fixing needles are installed along the long side of the rectangular frame with a length of 560mm and a width of 150mm. The distance between the fixed needle of the specimen and the bottom edge of the frame is 5mm, 10mm, 190mm, 370mm, 550mm and 555mm, and the length of the fixed needle is at least 26mm. A positioning cylinder with a diameter of 2mm and a length of at least 20mm should be installed near each fixed needle.
9. Template: 12 small holes with a diameter of about 4mm are drilled on the template, and their positions should be such that the distance between the center of the holes and the distance between the fixed pins on the frame are consistent.
10. Marking thread: white mercerized cotton thread, linear density 45tex~50tex.
11. Fabric sample size: 560mm×170mm.
12. Gas used for ignition: industrial propane or butane gas.
