Recently, the project "Development of the Thermal Conductivity Test System for Protective Clothing" jointly developed by the Shandong Academy of Textile Science and the Key Laboratory of Special Textile Processing Technology of Shandong Province won the second prize of scientific and technological progress by the China Textile Industry Federation.
The award-winning project "Development of a thermal conductivity test system for protective clothing" is a scientific and technological guidance project of China Textile Industry Federation in 2018, and the project number is 2018076. Thermal protective clothing is a safety protection for workers under high temperature conditions, avoiding heat sources to cause burns to the human body, and at the same time, it can maintain the integrity of the clothing and wearing comfort when exposed to heat. The protective principle of thermal protective clothing is to reduce the heat transfer speed, so that the high heat from the outside is slowly transferred to the skin in a small amount. This project is to study the time required for human tissue pain and secondary burns of human tissues caused by the heat accumulated on the back of the test sample under constant pressure to evaluate the thermal insulation performance of the tested material. Human tissue pain has never been studied before. The project established a thermal protection performance evaluation system based on human tissue pain and secondary burn tolerance. The test instrument developed meets the technical requirements of ASTM F1060-2018 Standard Test Method for Evaluation of Conductive and Compressive Heat Resistance (CCHR). The instrument "LFY-666 Protective Clothing Thermal Conductivity and Compression and Heat Resistance Tester" developed by the project is the first in China.
